As a music producer and composer, my particular affinity to film music seems obvious. But here at Capricorn Music we are experts in all aspects of film sound, from voice-overs, background noises and sound design to complete film mixes.
Depending on the production schedule, budget and preferences, I can compose to finished movie scenes, following a script (in parallel with the film editing), or based on mood descriptions.
The finished compositions can be produced professionally and broadcast-ready in our recording studio. If desired, we can book studio musicians or realistically simulate bands, ensembles and entire orchestras through skilful use of purchased and self-produced instrument sample libraries.
MUSIC AS THE COMMON THREAD
After various attempts to play moving pictures and sound simultaneously, it was the movie "The Jazz Singer" that heralded the commercial breakthrough of sound film in 1927. Today, film and sound have long been inseparable. While speech is considered to be a cornerstone of most film productions, the influence of other sounds (such as music or sound design) is often underestimated.
But music in particular can completely reshape films, connect storylines, fix dramaturgical weaknesses, and engage viewers emotionally. Whether in cinema, documentaries, TV shows, or reports, I always try to guide the audience through the storyline with my music.
